SUSHIRITTO, SAN FRANCISCO CA

Geisha Kiss
Tempura

Sushiritto has a couple locations in SF and they are hot spots that are trending now. They offer a limited menu which was my only complaint because they didn't serve fresh sake (salmon) which is my favorite raw fish. The store is tiny and could probably fit 8-10 people at most in line, it's kind of like a chipotle where you tell them what you'd like and they roll it up for you.  They have limited amounts of seating outside near a small alley and it's a perfect location to people watch. It's only a few blocks from all the shopping and chaos in the city and about 15 min walk to the AT&T park if you wanted to grab and go for a game! It's quick and easy and if you're in a rush to be somewhere but still want sushi, this is the place!

The Playground is a great example of farm to table type restaurant. Everything is fresh, creative, rustic and appealing. The menu changes daily, yes DAILY. You should go in with an open mind and willing to try what the chef has to offer that day. The bar itself is beautiful and has tabs of beers and creative cocktails with liquors you've never even heard of. This experience most definitely be a new one, it's refreshing and different. The chef is kind enough to walk around throughout the tables to greet the guests and ask how they feel about the food, and he explains his approach on some entrees and how you can maximize your taste buds. This place is trending with over thousands of reviews on yelp so be prepared to have a wait unless you have reservations, which could be weeks later when trying to accommodate you with such high volume. My two absolute favorites is the pork belly bun with the guacamole ( So simple, yet so delicious) and the mission toffee bread budding! Melts in your mouth!
Playground is located Downtown Santa Ana which is about 15-20 minutes away from Disneyland. You can easily find street parking since it's downtown. If you want to try for a new restaurant that's completely different and your in for an experience Playground is the place to try!

Sweet Maple is a new and upcoming breakfast joint in San Francisco. It was a very warm and cozy feeling when you enter and their food and service is always on point! Let me warn you that the wait to try their delicious breakfast and lunch entrees averages to about an hour and a half DAILY. Weekends especially so be prepared to wait! They offer free mini dixie cups of coffee or water where the host stand is, so take advantage! Sweet Maple is on the corner of Sutter St, SF and is a very quaint neighborhood. Parking of course is street parking with meters so bring quarters.
They are known to be the home of the millionaires bacon, they bake their bacon for over 4 hours with maple syrup and come in really thick slices. I believe you can order a side if your entree doesn't come with it for $7 every 2 slices. For you bacon lovers this is a must!
Their food is made fresh daily and you could see it when it's served in front of you. They also offer bloody Mary's and mimosas, their main liquor that is served is Soju and not vodka. All the employees are very attentive and polite. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast place when you're in the city around Pacific Heights this is your place!

Alexanders Steakhouse is a very upscale steakhouse that delivers nothing but excellent service and stupendous food. The location is in Cupertino near Vallco Mall. It is usually best to make a reservation due to their high volume of guests throughout the week and weekends. It's more of a dressy formal dinner place where you can dress up and expect to be pampered for the evening. In between meals they offer palette cleansers, which come in small spoons of delicious sorbet or whatever they decide to serve on the menu that evening. You also are greeted by your "main server" but each course of comes out is served by a different person whom descriptively explains each plate that is placed in front of you. The bread is amazing!! If you get a chance to try the cheddar popovers get as many as you want the first time around, these run out fast! If you are lucky you can get seconds or even thirds if theres enough to go around. I was told that they run out around 8pm. They also have other choices of breads that can be great for all types of bread lovers. It comes with a house made butter that is served at the table. Make sure to enjoy some of it before your entrees come out!
Parking is fairly reasonable. They have a small lot next to the restaurant but if it's too crowded you can go up towards the mall parking and walk down the stairs. But they offer valet parking if you ladies prefer to walk in with class! (Especially with those heels on!) Overall this dining experience should not let you down! Michael Ho is the manager at the Cupertino location and will make sure all your needs are met! If there is any problem or lack there of in your expectations, make sure you speak to him, he is very professional and accommodating.
If you're looking for a great place to go on a date or even night out with the girls, this is a must try!
